Women University, Swabi Organizes a Three-Day Training Workshop on Faculty Development

SIGNING OF MOU WITH UBL Women University, Swabi organized a three-day workshop on "Navigating the Logical Maze of Research" under University Faculty Development Program. Miss Gul Andama, Lecturer, Department of English Language and Literature was the Chief Organizer of the event. Dr. Shuja Ahmad, Assistant Professor, University of Peshawar also delivered lectures on 'Research Philosophy' and 'Logical Arguments'. The main objective of the workshop was to develop and strengthen the research, teaching, communication and mentoring skills of the faculty. The workshop was attended by 22 faculty members of the University. In the concluding ceremony, the chief guest, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khanzadi Fatima Khattak distributed certificates among the participants.

While addressing the audience, she said that about 60% of the country's population is below the age of 30 and we have to provide them opportunities to get higher education, appropriate trainings and technological skills, so that they can be transformed into good human beings and responsible citizens. She further added that since its inception, Women University, Swabi has rightly identified the full economic, creative and social potential of the talented youth of the country and is strongly committed to empower its young females through quality education, research skills, innovations and modern technologies. Besides, the management of the University is also devoted to inculcate the values of integrity, charter and social responsibility among its graduates. To achieve these objectives, we have to improve our teaching methods, advance research approaches, adopt innovations, establish standards of excellence, set examples and to follow Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah golden rules of unity, faith and discipline.

Faculty development program is the part of University noble mission and this training is one of the strategic step to prepare our faculty for better teaching, better services and better mentoring.
