AcademicsThe 8 th Academic Council of the Women University, Swabi was held on 30 th July, 2018 which was chaired by honorable Vice Chancellors, Prof. Dr. Khanzadi Fatima Khattak, FRSC, FCSP. The meeting was attended by chairpersons, HoDs, Director Admissions, Controller of Examination, Addl. Director Academics and Assistant Registrar. Different matters related to establishment of new departments, Monitoring of Affiliated Colleges under quality Enhancement Cell, Academic Calendar for BS & Master’s Degree Programs Fall Semester 2018 and Spring Semester 2019, Renaming of Departments, Examination Remuneration charges for affiliated colleges, Launching of University Need based & Merit Scholarships, University Portfolio Report (UPR) from July 2017- June 2018, amendments in the remuneration charges of paper publication, amendments in the semester rules improvement cases, approval of award of degree titles of different disciplines , University Annual report and Plagiarism standing committee were discussed. Establishment of Department of Eastern Medicine and Department of Physics were recommended. The Vice Chancellor, emphasized to promote research culture and encouraged quality research. This initiative will create research environment that will be strategically beneficial for the development of Women University Swabi. She further added, real progress needs efforts in real terms that will ultimately help to achieve our goals regarding quality education, uplifting ethical values and enhancing innovative skills.
