The mission of the department of food science & nutrition is to improve human health through better nutrition & healthly lifestyle. The department strives to accomplish this goal through innovative course work and basic research aimed at increased understanding of how diet influences health at social an population levels, the development of nutitional strategies and policies, practitioners, and the dissemination of nutrition information to health professionals and the public at large.
