6.Food Science & Nutrition


The vision of the Food Science and Nutrition (FSN) Department at Women University Swabi is to empower female students, faculty and staff to become lifelong learners by providing a comprehensive education in Food Science and Human Nutrition, inspiring scholarships and professional excellence, engaging in a collaborative, diverse atmosphere of respect and creating leaders who seize opportunities to serve their global community.


The mission of the Department is to generate knowledge about food through research and to apply and disseminate knowledge through teaching and outreach, with the goal of ensuring the availability of safe, nutritious, appealing food with minimum environmental impact for the benefits of all community.

Program Objectives

      1.The program will provide the basic and advance knowledge of Food Science and Nutrition.
      2.The program will develop the problem solving skills in the students.
      3.The program will provide the knowledge of Business entrepreneurship to the students in order to start their own business on small scale.
      4.The program will offer an opportunity to become an integral part of the society.


BS Food Science and Nutrition (4-Years, 8th Semester)

Eligibility Criteria

Intermediate Science (Pre-Medical/Pre-Engineering) with 50% marks OR A-Level or any other foreign equivalent qualification approved by IBCC having minimum 50% marks.
