(HESSA)project Officials Visited WUS to discuss plans for the upcoming academic year 2023-2024.


Representatives from the Higher Education System Strengthening Activity (HESSA) project, an initiative by the University of Utah in collaboration with USAID, held a crucial meeting with officials from Women University Swabi (WUs) to discuss the plans for the upcoming academic year 2023-2024. The meeting, led by Ms. Asma, the Program Manager of HESSA, took place on the 28th of August, 2023.The HESSA project, aimed at enhancing the capacities of 16 selected universities in Pakistan, is focused on bolstering key areas such as student support services, leadership development, and faculty advancement. During the meeting, the university officials engaged in an insightful discussion regarding the strategic roadmap for the next year within the six focal areas identified by HESSA. They discussed the all focal areas included career readiness, Financial Aid, Alumni Engagement, Mental Health, Student Leadership and Programming, Student Micro Enterprise Development.The Registrar Muhammad Waqar and the Director of the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC), Dr Ome Kalsoom who also serve as focal persons for the HESSA program, commended the dedicated efforts of the HESSA team in driving positive change and enhancement within the university. They expressed their enthusiasm for the upcoming year's initiatives and their commitment to realizing the project's goals. The meeting underscored the collaboration between the University of Utah's HESSA project and Women University Swabi, showcasing the commitment to elevating the higher education experience in Pakistan and ensuring holistic development among students. The year 2023-2024 promises to bring forth a range of transformative programs and activities that will contribute significantly to the growth of the university's academic environment.
